The HSE Ireland, Gay Health Network and Man2Man have notified Wexford Pride about a small cluster of MPOX cases in the Wexford area. Please be aware of how to protect yourself, how to recognise the symptoms, and when to seek medical advice. Knowledge is important!

Visit men2men.ie/mpox for more information.

If you suspect that you have any symptoms, avoid close physical contact until you have the opportunity to get assessed. And remember that vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and others.

📣 Updated Community Announcement and our EGM

Wexford Pride would like to share that Molly Miller (they/them) and Rían Browne (he/him) have stepped down from their roles as Public Relations Officer and Open Committee Member respectively on the Wexford Pride Committee as of the 28th of July 2026. They both have stepped down for personal reasons.

As per our constitution, Wexford Pride will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) at 7pm on Tuesday the 4th of August to elect a new Public Relations Officer and elect a new Open Committee Member (descriptions below).
This meeting will take place online VIA google meet.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for oversight of media engagements, including Committee member interviews by the media, press releases and promotional material releases to media partners and news outlets, the administration of Wexford Pride’s social media presence, the approval of any posting to Wexford Pride social media accounts, and management of the organisation’s website.
An EGM provides an opportunity for Wexford Pride membership to vote on the election of these individuals.

Open Committee Members or non-titled positions are full Committee members for matters of voting, including voting on finances, and for determining if a quorum is present. As they do not have a title, their role is flexible.

🔗 Full details of the roles can be found in our constitution under the section "Appendix 2." https://wexfordpride.ie/constitution
You can also find out more about our election process here.

📧 To access the EGM meeting link, ask any questions or queries about the EGM or the role of Public Relations Officer or Open Committee Member please contact [email protected]

Your Wexford Pride Committee for 2025/26 are - John Cunningham Ryan (he/him, Secretary), Andrei Boyd (he/him, Community Liaison), Veronica Victor (she/her, Treasurer), Christina Kabari (she/her, Open Committee Member.)
