As the school year comes to an end and we see sixth class students taking their next step into first year we were honoured to deliver the Irish Heart Foundation Hands for life course to schools around the greater Westport area.

In total, we trained 148 Sixth Class students in this vital lifesaving skill.
A huge thank you to all the schools for welcoming us and allowing us to deliver this programme. It was an honour and a privilege to work with your students.
We were extremely impressed with the students’ skills, enthusiasm, interest, and thoughtful questions throughout the training. Their engagement and willingness to learn were a credit to the students, families and their schools.
We look forward to returning again in the 2026/27 school year to continue delivering this important training.

This week we spent 3 fantastic mornings in Scoil Phádraig delivering the Irish Heart Foundation Hands for Life training course to the schools 6th class students. It was a brilliant opportunity for us to deliver this in such an amazing facility. Thanks to everyone for making this happen including Mr Colm Carney and all the staff for their support through the training. Some great skills were on show through the young men and ladies practical demos. Thanks also to our instructors Caroline, David, Aoife and Tommy for giving up their morning.
