Now that we've all gotten some sleep...
Our were out yesterday participating in a multi-agency major emergency exercise on the outskirts of Waterford City. Our crews helped assess, triage and transported over 40 patients from the scene over the course of the day. A huge amount of learning took place and a lot of pressure placed on them - a huge well done to them!
We were joined by our friends and colleagues from Waterford Civil Defence, Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Tramore Unit, Tramore Coast Guard Unit, Dunmore East Coast Guard, Paramedics and officers from Waterford Ambulance Station, National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. Paul Campbell who volunteers with Critical - Emergency Medical Response as well as a number of volunteer patients who were absolutely amazing actors for the day!
A huge huge thank you to all who participated & contributed to a very successful exercise! Alot of work went into making yesterday what it was and it wouldn't have been possible without you.
A special mention and thank you to Waterford Recovery Service for providing a safe area for our teams to train as well as Jack Molloy Catering for feeding the very hungry patients and crews afterwards.
