Waterford Comhairle na nÓg members identified that young people were unaware of what supports were available to them. In response to this, they developed an Ezine which explored addiction through Art, Poetry and the written word. This Ezine folds out to list the range of services available to young people in need of support for Drug and Alcohol use.

Thanks to Waterford Community Safety Partnership for their assistance in printing and distributing 500 copies to schools and organisations throughout Waterford.

Thank you to the 160 young people from schools and Youth Projects across Waterford city and county who attended our Youth Conference last week!

The consultation with young people identified Access to Drugs and Alcohol for young people as the topic for 2027.

Today, we had our Comhairle Summer Day out, in which many of our Comhairlí visited the Europa Experience, National Museum, and Dead Zoo in Dublin.

We recently had a meetup with Wexford and Kilkenny Comhairle to discuss past work, discuss collaborative plans and to form strong collaborative bonds between the three Comhairle branches.
