Déise Buddies
Déise Buddies is a dragon boat crew set up to support cancer survivors and who have an immediate family member with or survived cancer.
We are aware that the water is not for everyone this is why we also participate in different activities. There is something for everyone to enjoy: Yoga classes Saturday with Adrienne, Walking groups every Thursday morning followed by coffee, Aqua aerobics every Monday evening. Most important social get to togethers for a coffee and a chat with people that have had similiar experiences. Activites change sessionally and dependant on numbers.
At the moment we are fundraising for our new dragon boat. For the winter months we will keep going with other activities. Watch this page for further details.
Excercise can help prevent recurrence by up to 50% in survivors. The group is about cancer survivors getting fit and having fun together. People of all fitness levels are welcome and we understand that people are going to be at different stages in their journey.
