🌿 Join us for a Guided Biodiversity Walk in Bunmahon!

Come along on Thursday 29 October, from 11am to 12pm, and join ecologist Alan Walshe for a walk from Bunmahon to Trá na mBó.

As part of the Bunmahon Community Biodiversity Action Plan, we will explore local wildlife and habitats, learn about choughs, bees, butterflies and other wildlife, and discover how we can help protect nature on our doorstep.

🐦‍⬛ BirdWatch Ireland are looking for people to help out with monitoring waterbirds for the Irish Wetland Bird Survey in the Waterford and East Cork Area.

They are looking for new skilled observers to join the Dungarvan survey team and to help cover important wetland sites in East Cork.

If you are interested in finding out more about the survey, why not come along to the workshop? Here we will discuss the background, methods, and some tips for surveying waterbirds, followed by a demonstration of the field methods.

The workshop will take place on Sunday 25th October (Lawlors Hotel Dungravan).

Waterford Schools Litter Challenge returns for its sixth year

Over the next six weeks, secondary school students from across Waterford will be litter-picking in their local communities, helping to keep our streets and parks clean.

We provide litter pickers, gloves, bags and high-visibility vests, while Tom Murphy Car Sales Toyota is sponsoring a €1,500 prize for the winning school!

Great event in Brill FRC next Friday 16th October. Lots of information on Energy usage, biodiversity, etc There will be great services here with lots of very useful tips and information. Our Free Store will be open and there will be an opportunity to get a tour of our Community Allotments as well. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
