Would your community group enjoy a fun CITY BUS DAY OUT on Sept 19th?
Your community group may apply to receive between 5 and 10 FREE pre-paid Leap Cards to use on the City Bus Day Out, September 19th!

We are also offering fantastic maritime-themed tours of the City with the wonderful ‘Tides And Tales’ maritime group for participating groups on the day.

Waterford City and County Libraries to host Material World Exhibition exploring fashion, waste and climate action 🌍️

Material World is a unique interactive exhibition exploring fast fashion, textile waste and climate action. Using art, creativity, and hands-on learning this thought-provoking exhibition will encourage people to think differently about how clothing is produced, consumed, and discarded.

The exhibition supports Waterford City and County Council's commitments under its Climate Action Plan and wider objectives relating to waste prevention, circular economy principles, awareness and living.

The Waterford Biodiversity Corridor got some lovely new signs last weekend at the Maypark Nature Trail! The signs highlight the wildlife of the area. Well done to the B-Corridor Group and the National Biodiversity Data Centre for their hard work on this project.

Thanks to Waterford City & County Council's Climate Action Team for inviting us to attend the Business Support Breakfast at Waterford City Hall. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak directly to businesses across the county to provide practical advice on energy upgrade options for their businesses.

One of the final Playful Communities events of 2026 will take place in Ballybricken. Please note that the event has been moved from Wyse Park.

Starting from 11am, we’ll be working together with the New Communities Network to bring the community together for a fun and engaging event.

Visit our current artist in residence Mica Moroney at 2pm this Saturday at The Art Hand (X42 PY92). She will share details of her residency and afterwards will bring us to a site specific artwork she has been making at Bunmahon Stage Cove.
