Just a friendly reminder that the Re-A-Suir team will be out patrolling the Quay and Rice Bridge on Friday 12th June from 10pm to 2am . Our base on 28AMary Street will also be open if you need a cup of tea and a chat

Tonight our volunteer patrol team will be on the Quays and Rice Bridge from 10pm until 2am, supporting anyone who may need a friendly face, a conversation, or simply to know somebody is there. ๐ŸŒ™
Our base on 28AMary Street will also be open throughout the patrol tonight.

A safe, welcoming space where people can drop in, have a chat, take a moment, or enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee. โ˜•๐Ÿ’™

If you see the team out tonight, give them a wave , say hello ๐Ÿ‘‹
Remember: You are never alone. There is always support and always someone willing to listen.

As the week moves on, we'd like to remind everyone that our volunteers will be out again this Friday evening from our base on 28AMary Street, Waterford.
You'll find us patrolling Rice Bridge and Quay.

Sometimes knowing that someone is there to listen can make all the difference. Whether you're facing challenges, feeling isolated, or simply need a friendly chat, our team is here for you without judgement.

Every Friday, our volunteers give their time to support members of our community, offer a listening ear, and help connect people with the services they may need.

You are never alone. If you see us out and about, please don't hesitate to say hello.

๐Ÿ“Ÿ๐Ÿ“Ÿ CALL OUT ๐Ÿ“Ÿ๐Ÿ“Ÿ

Early this morning our crews and emergency services were tasked by the Irish Coast Guard alongside emergency services. Including Waterford City Fire Service, National Ambulance Service and An Garda Siochana. This was to an emergency involving a person entering the water. We were stood down shortly after launch. The incident was brought to a successful conclusion by members of An Garda Sรญochรกna. Thank you to everyone involved and to MRCC who coordinated this incident. We wish the person involved a speedy recovery.

We would like to reiterate the absolute importance of an early call to the Emergency Services for water incidents so the relevant services can be dispatched promptly. Please remember if you see anyone in difficulty on our Lakes, Rivers or Coast, Call 999 or 112 and ask for The Irish Coast Guard who will dispatch the services needed to the scene, Do not assume somebody has already made that call.

This afternoon our crews, crews from Waterford City Fire Service, An Garda Siochana and crews from Waterford Ambulance Station, were tasked by the Irish Coast Guard to an emergency involving a person in the water. The person was successfully rescued from the water by crews from Waterford City River Rescue aboard the โ€œLenny Oโ€. The person was handed over to ambulance crews and transported for treatment. Thank you to everyone involved and to MRCC who coordinated this morningโ€™s incident and thank you to members of An Garda Sรญochรกna. Thank you to every one involved, to the person who called 999 and threw a life ring thank you, you saved a life today.
