Our hearts are with everyone affected by the devastating tragedy in our community, following the loss of the English family in the fire.
We extend our deepest condolences to their family, friends, neighbours and everyone who has been impacted by this heartbreaking loss. We also want to acknowledge the emergency services who responded to this tragedy and the difficult work they do to protect our community.
At times like these, grief and shock can affect us all in different ways. Please look out for one another, check in with your neighbours, and keep asking the question: “Are you okay?” Sometimes, simply being there for someone can make all the difference. 💙
Re-A-Suir is here for our community. If you need someone to talk to, a listening ear, or a place to call in for support, our doors are open.

Waterford City and County Council has commissioned the Butler Community Centre in St. John’s Park in Waterford city (X91 FEP4) as a Support Hub.
Refreshments and facilities are available for those who have been affected by the fire in the Birchwood area.

Huge congrats to all our friends and supporters at Waterford FC

22 years have elapsed since Waterford FC have last played in the FAI Cup Final, but that number will re-set in less than a months time as Graham Coughlan’s Blues travel to the home of Irish football to take on Derry City FC in this year’s Club Orange Men’s FAI Cup Final.

💙 A HUGE THANK YOU TO MCKS IRELAND! 💙

At Re a Suir, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing support we have received from MCKS Charity Ireland

Last year, MCKS Ireland generously supported us with funding for our wet gear, helping our volunteers stay protected while out on patrol in all kinds of Irish weather. 🌧️

This year, they have supported us once again, helping us provide further VHF radio training and first aid training for our volunteers. These skills and resources are so important in ensuring our team is equipped, prepared and confident while carrying out our patrols along the River Suir and Waterford’s quay MCKS Charity Ireland is an organisation dedicated to supporting communities and making a positive difference through its work. Their continued generosity is a wonderful example of what community support can achieve.

For a volunteer-led organisation like Re a Suir, this support means so much. It helps us invest in our volunteers, strengthen our training and continue the work we do to look out for others when they may need someone most.

From everyone at Re a Suir, thank you, MCKS Ireland, for believing in what we do and for standing behind our volunteers, not just once, but year after year. 💙

Together, we can continue making a difference, one patrol at a time.

We’re ordinary people who care, showing up week after week because every life matters, and nobody should feel alone.
