Hi folks. a sad day for Waterford with the arson attack in Birchwood. Leaving four innocent people dead and two children critically injured in Crumlin hospital.

We offer our sincere condolences to their family. We, as caring residents all need to learn from this tragedy and keep vigilant if anyone notices suspicious behaviour in any area of our city. Anyone loitering late at night or in the early hours need to be reported to the Garda Station. Please note there is an excellent service available in every Irish Garda station called the D.R.I.V.E. Project. (Drug related intimidation and violence engagement - a national non judgemental initiative in Ireland designed to address drug related intimidation, drug debt and community violence. Every estate in Ireland may experience potential intimidation and helpful to know there are supports in all 26 city Garda stations. May the innocent family targeted. rest in peace and their family, friends and neighbours feel comfort and support from their communities.
Our hearts are broken for them all

We are supporting NO MOW MAY on our large green to support biodiversity and appreciate if dog owners would pick up dog foul after their own dogs as dangerous and toxic to children playing on our recreational green spaces.
