Are you interested in supporting a worthy charity??........then check out this super event that will be taking place soon in Ballymacarbry Community Centre.
Danny O'Rourke and Tony Condon have decided to take on not 1....but 2 challenges to raise funds for Cycle Against Su***de, a Su***de Awareness Charity.. In September both of them will be taking on the Mizen to Malin Cycling Challenge, which will consist of 750k of road cycling spread over 5 consecutive days.
If that wasn't enough of a challenge they have now decided to complete a 24-hour Spinathon to raise more funds.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN!!!!

We will have spare bikes available so they need your support to keep spirits high and pedals turning for the 24 hour stint. (Don't worry - you only have to do an hour and then give someone else a turn). If you are enjoying it though and want to stay on longer, we won't make you leave 🤣🚴

This event will start on Sat 13th June at 12pm and finish on Sunday 14th June at 12pm. We will conclude with a Coffee Morning, taking place from 9am - 12pm on the Sunday, so if you can't take a spot on the bike.....please come along for some tea/coffee and refreshments .

Darkness into Light almost here!!!
We're ready to go for this years Darkness into Light which departs Ballymacarbry Community Centre at 4.15am this coming Sat (May 9th). Looking forward to see another huge crowd this year!!!!

Darkness into Light 2026
Our now annual Ballymacarbry Darkness Into Light walk will take off from the community centre on Saturday May 9th at 4.15am. So mark the date in your diary and don’t miss what is always a hugely fulfilling and memorable community event. There will be some well-earned light refreshments served at the community centre after the walk, so make sure to come along to what is always a fantastic morning for the community.

Our annual spring clean event will take place on Easter Saturday (04 April).
As always bags and litter pickers will be available in the days before - just contact any member of the committee.

We're all set for tonight! Are you?

Ballymac Bingo returns tonight (Fri Mar 20th) in Ballymacarbry Community Centre. Proceeds from tonights event will go to our GOLD medal winning tidy towns group who do trojan work in our village annually. Please come and support this wonderful cause tonight. First call at 8pm - get there early!!

'Da' brings the house down in Ballymacarbry!
Last Friday evening Ballymacarbry was treated to another night of amazing drama by Brideview Drama Tallow. A full house meant the pressure was on for the first ever public performance of 'Da' by this group. This presented no problem for this group however as they delivered yet another unforgettable experience for the Ballymacarbry audience. A standing ovation was a fitting tribute to the group at the end of the night. All connected to this event in Ballymac would like to sincerely thank for making the huge effort to bring this play to our area, it is enormously appreciated, especially given that all proceeds from the event go to such worthy causes.
We wish the group all the luck in the world as they bring this production back home to Tallow for performances on Feb 6th, 7th, 8th & 15th. For anyone that could not source a ticket for the Ballymacarbry show, get yourself to Tallow!
Sincere thanks to all that purchased tickets, helped with the set-up of the hall, served food & teas, sold raffle tickets, stewarded in the carpark, sold tickets, donated raffle prizes, erected road signs & flyers and those who carried out ushering duties on the night - you all made this night what it was, an outstanding success!
