PhotoIreland hosted the grand opening of the new International Centre for the Image to great success. This new purpose-built cultural hub redefines how we engage with photography and visual culture - merging research, production, exhibition, and education under one roof.
Designed with artists and audiences in mind, the centre includes specialised library and studio spaces, workshop and process areas, a dedicated exhibition venue, and long-term art storage, all with a strong ecological and future-focused ethos.
The project has been made possible thanks to the support of Kennedy Wilson and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, as well as the hard work of many individuals, from the many Kennedy Wilson staff involved, to the McCauley Daye O'Connell Architects team, T&I Fitouts Ltd, Lafferty, Metec Consulting Engineers, Buildcost, Maurice Johnson & Partners, Garland, and many more.
