Thanks all for a very enjoyable and informative evening at Tyrrellspass GAA Football Club. Celtic Dynamics presented the Energy Master Plan drawn up for our village and surrounding area, SEAI explained what Community Grants are available to us, Nuala Madigan of Irish Peatland Conservation Council walked us through the findings of the surveys and the ideas incorporated into Tyrrellspass Tidy Towns Community Biodiversity Action Plan (and yes, we checked: we are the second ever place where the small, elusive Black Slip Wasp was ever recorded. Watch out for tiny black body and bright orange legs!). Thanks to Sustainable Homes By Bayview and Home Comfort Retrofits for being on hand to answer all and any query about how to best bring homes and premises closer to carbon neutrality. We couldn't have gotten here without the support of our SEC Mentors Siobhan Kinahan Home Energy Advisor and Isabella Donnelly. We are delighted to have organised this event and all we need to do now is choose what project to get stuck in first!
