New memberships are $60/6 months (€52 approx Nov 25), then $80/6 months after first sign up. The Tullamore Toastmasters club was founded in 1994 with the influence of Mary McGuinness and has since grown from strength to strength. It has afforded several people in Tullamore, and the surrounding area, the opportunity to develop their communication and public speaking skills. We are a fun and friendl

y club that offer a supportive environment for our members to improve their public speaking abilities through meetings, training seminars and speech contests. We meet twice a month on Thursday nights at 8:30 in the Tullamore Central Hotel. Check our calendar for meeting dates. If you would like to master the art of speaking, listening and thinking or confront your absolute fear of public speaking in front of an audience you are welcome to come to one of our meetings. We always welcome new members so come along and see for yourself what it’s like. And, don’t worry you wont be expected to speak on the first night. You’re guaranteed a warm and friendly reception along with a good few laughs from the humorous Tullamore club members.

Huge congratulations to our incredible members at Tullamore Toastmasters for their phenomenal success at the Area 9 International Speech, Evaluation, and Table Topics contests! 🏆

We are bursting with pride as three of our own took to the stage and swept up honors across the board:

🥇 Eileen Fleming – 1st Place (Evaluation)
Eileen delivered a masterclass in providing constructive, insightful feedback, securing the top spot! She will now represent both our club and Area 9 in the upcoming Division F Final. We’re all behind you, Eileen!

🥈 Dan Dold – 2nd Place (Table Topics)
In the ultimate test of off-the-cuff speaking, Dan showed incredible wit and agility, thinking on his feet to take home the silver in a highly competitive field.

🥉 Catherine Ryan – 3rd Place (International Speech)
Catherine moved the audience with her prepared speech, showcasing the heart, storytelling, and delivery that Toastmasters is all about.

The club is also immensely proud of Francis Keenan for the fantastic job he is doing as our Area Director. Francis served as the Contest Chair for the Area Final, and his leadership and organization ensured the entire event was a massive success.

About the Competitions:

- Evaluation: Contestants observe a test speech and provide an immediate, structured critique to help the speaker grow.
- Table Topics: Speakers are given a random prompt and must deliver a coherent, engaging 2-minute speech with zero preparation.
- International Speech: A 5-to-7-minute prepared speech judged on content, organization, and delivery.

Well done to Catherine, Dan, Eileen, and Francis for representing Tullamore Toastmasters with such talent and poise. Onwards to Division F! 🥂🎤

A massive congratulations to our very own Elizabeth Jordan, DTM, on being appointed as the Regional Advisor for Region 10! 🌟

Elizabeth has been an incredible servant to District 71 for many years—serving as District Director, Program Quality Director, and Club Growth Director—but to those of us at Tullamore Toastmasters, she is first and foremost a great friend to the club. Her constant support, mentorship, and warm presence have left a lasting mark on our members.
