World Mental Health Day 2026

The theme this year is "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change", this resonates throughout Jigsaw Laois Offaly every day through the work we do with young people.

We consult, listen and gather our learnings to ensure that we continue to improve mental health for young people in our communities.

This week, we have been out in the community to raise awareness of our services and to hear from as many young people as possible.

💜 What’s Your Word? | World Mental Health Day 2026

This World Mental Health Day, our Jigsaw Youth Advocates are getting involved in Year 2 of the What’s Your Word? campaign. 💭💚

This year’s question is:
✨ What supports and sustains your mental health?

Our Youth Advocates have taken a moment to pause and reflect on the people, places and activities that help them feel good and look after their mental health.

It could be a friend, music, sport, being outdoors, a hobby, rest, reading or simply taking time for yourself. 🎵🏃‍♀️🌿📖
What’s your ONE word? Share something that supports and sustains your mental health. 💚

As we lead up to World Mental Health Day on 10 October, they are gently reminding everyone to take a pause and do ONE thing this week that helps you recharge, reset and re-energise.

Please like and share our page to support our Youth Advocates and help spread the message that taking a pause and looking after your mental health matters.
