On Thursday 28th May 2026, a team of Jigsaw heroes, including our very own Youth Advocate, Ellie, will abseil off the iconic Hogan Stand in Croke Park in Dublin.

Ellie is raising vital funds so Jigsaw can continue to provide free therapy and support services for children and young people (aged 12-25) who are struggling with their mental health.

Jigsaw also helps people and communities to better understand their mental health and better support those around them.

If you can support our wonderful Ellie, please donate at the link in our bio

This week is ‘National Volunteering Week’. Jigsaw Laois Offaly is incredibly proud of all of the volunteers, past and present, right across our organisation who have empowered us to reach better mental health outcomes for young people right across the country.

The theme of this year’s National Volunteering Week is “From Every Corner, For Every Cause” - celebrating the extraordinary collective power of volunteering — local and global — and honouring the people whose time, compassion and commitment make a measurable difference every single day.

At Jigsaw, we feel the impact of this time, compassion and commitment every single day.

Thank you to each and every one of our volunteers who help us to make a difference for the cause we care most about – young people’s mental health.

We appreciate each and every one of you.

Happy ‘National Volunteering Week’.

‘Do One Thing’ is a mental health promotion campaign aimed at promoting young people’s mental health through participation in themed activities that are simple, engaging and evidence- informed. Participation is supported with the ‘Do One Thing’ guidance booklet, available from Jigsaw.

With the campaign running for the entire month of May, it’s still not too late to participate. Youthreach centres can take part over one day, one week or throughout the month.
