Job Opportunity – Peer Education Worker

OTM Ireland is hiring a Peer Education Worker to join our team in Offaly!

This is a part-time position (14 hours per week) supporting Traveller children, young people and families to engage with and progress in education.

📍 Location: Offaly
⏰ Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days)
💼 Contract: Part-time
💰 Pro-rata salary: €12,783 per annum

📸 Through Our Eyes – Nature Photography Course 🌿

Ready to see the world through a new lens? Offaly Traveller Movement is inviting young people aged 10–18 to take part in Through Our Eyes, an exciting Nature Photography Course exploring creativity, nature and the world around us. 🌿🦋📸

Guided by acclaimed nature photographer Tina Claffey, participants will learn hands-on photography skills and discover how to capture the beauty of local landscapes using just a smartphone! The project will culminate in a special group photography exhibition, showcasing the young people’s unique perspectives, creativity and connection with nature.

Our parents and little ones had an absolute blast on our recent trip to Glendeer Pet Farm in Athlone on Wednesday, July 15th!

From feeding the animals to making new friends, it was a fantastic day out enjoyed by both adults and kids alike. 🐐🐰✨

We are thrilled to share that Minister Norma Foley TD has announced a major expansion of the Traveller and Roma Local Employment Initiative (TRLEI)!

This expansion brings 8 new local offices across 6 areas! Which is more than double the scheme’s reach across Ireland. Most excitingly of all, Offaly Traveller Movement has been appointed as the new National TRLEI Coordinator to lead and support this expanded network nationwide! 🤝✨

We are deeply proud to step into this role, building stronger employment pathways and supports for the Traveller and Roma communities.
