Spaying & Neutering
Its priorities include promoting the spaying/neutering of dogs and cats, in order to reduce the numbers of unwanted pups and kittens. Financial assistance for these procedures is provided to qualified applicants. of Agriculture grants, public donations and proceeds of fund raising activities. Shelters
The Society does not have any official shelter facilities so it relies heavil

y on individual members to ‘foster’ stray or abandoned animals. Chief outgoings are veterinary fees, telephone charges, cat & dog food, and insurance/affiliation. Assistance is provided to help meet costs of accommodating animals in care but all of the time involved and much of the financial outlay is contributed on a voluntary basis. Rehoming
The OSPCA are always looking for good homes for rescued animals so if you are considering adopting a pet please check out our Give a pet a home section. are currently looking for new Foster homes to help with kittens. Cruelty
Cases which appear to involve cruelty are referred to the National Animal Helpline (1890 515 515). Feral Cats
During the coming year special efforts will be made to tackle the problems posed by colonies of feral cats in ‘hot spots’ throughout the county. Many of these are disease ridden and pose a serious threat to the health of domestic cats.

A neutered cat wearing a well worn leather collar “MUST” belong to SOMEONE. He’s a sweetheart 💕 Someone who once loved him dearly must be missing him. We “really” don’t want to rehome someone’s pet.
We have no place to put him & if he’s not claimed in the next couple of days can anyone please offer him a “temporary” home until we figure out the next step?

A cat that has NEVER been handled & is NOT tame is regarded as a “FERAL”cat.
To successfully & safely catch a feral cat for neutering it is strongly advised to use a humane cat trap.
To borrow/book a trap please call 0863785584.
We ask just €10 per voucher for neutering of feral cats & balance of cost of neutering is funded by Ospca.
NB.FERAL VOUCHERS must NOT be used for pet cats.
A fully refundable deposit is required when borrowing a trap.
OFFALY AREA ONLY……proof of address is required for trap/vouchers
