Offaly SPCA We aim to prevent suffering, provide help to injured/stray animals & run subsidised neutering schemes Costs involved are met from Dept. The Offaly S.P.C.A.

Spaying & Neutering
Its priorities include promoting the spaying/neutering of dogs and cats, in order to reduce the numbers of unwanted pups and kittens. Financial assistance for these procedures is provided to qualified applicants. of Agriculture grants, public donations and proceeds of fund raising activities. Shelters
The Society does not have any official shelter facilities so it relies heavil

y on individual members to ‘foster’ stray or abandoned animals. Chief outgoings are veterinary fees, telephone charges, cat & dog food, and insurance/affiliation. Assistance is provided to help meet costs of accommodating animals in care but all of the time involved and much of the financial outlay is contributed on a voluntary basis. Rehoming
The OSPCA are always looking for good homes for rescued animals so if you are considering adopting a pet please check out our Give a pet a home section. are currently looking for new Foster homes to help with kittens. Cruelty
Cases which appear to involve cruelty are referred to the National Animal Helpline (1890 515 515). Feral Cats
During the coming year special efforts will be made to tackle the problems posed by colonies of feral cats in ‘hot spots’ throughout the county. Many of these are disease ridden and pose a serious threat to the health of domestic cats.

JUST LISTEN TO THE HAPPY PURRS of this tiny little 8 or 9 day old kitten.💞
Thank you to those of you who offered to bottle feed the little scrap.
( there’ll be many more bottle feeders before the season is over 🫣)
Thank you to the finder who kept it fed until help arrived & thank you to Claire who has taken the little mite “under her wing” to lovingly foster & care for it. 💞
