🎭 A great night out for two local causes! 🎭

Local company STERIS will be bringing their play Swan Song to St Mary's Youth and Community Centre this Friday, 16th October!

📍 St Mary’s Youth and Community Centre, Tullamore
🚪 Doors open: 7pm
🎬 Show starts: 7.30pm
🎟️ Tickets: €15 each

All money taken in will be split between ACT and St Mary’s Youth Centre. Your support will help both organisations continue their work in our community.

To purchase your tickets:
Scan the Revolut QR code, make your payment and include your name and the number of tickets purchased in the payment note. Your name will then be added to the door list.

Bring along your friends and family, enjoy an evening of local theatre and support the STERIS team as they take to the stage for two worthy causes! 👏

Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night to walk .

It was a bitterly cold evening, so it meant even more to see so many people wrap up warm and come out to support us.

I find it so hard to believe that this was our 4th annual walk. I honestly don’t know where the time has gone, and I still find it hard to comprehend that James is no longer here with us.

The run-up to the walk is always really difficult for me. There are so many emotions attached to it, and I find it tough every year. But then I look around on the night and see all the people who have made the effort to come out in James’s memory, and it really does mean the world to me. I wish he could see just how much he is still loved and remembered.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and it seems fitting to reflect on the work we continue to do through ACT. James cared so much about people and was always the first person to step in and help someone in need, so opening ACT and making counselling accessible to those who need it, is such a fitting legacy for him to leave behind. Being able to continue that work and build on what we started together is something that is deeply important to me.

None of it would be possible without the incredible support we receive from our community. ACT would simply not exist without you, and I hope you all know how much that support is appreciated.

To everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, helped out on the night or supported us in any way, thank you so much.

Four years on, you are still showing up for James, for ACT and for the people in our community who need us. That is something I will never take for granted.

Thank you all so much for helping me keep James’s memory and legacy alive.

The James O’Connor Memorial Walk is finally here!

It looks like it’s going to be a windy one, but we really hope that won’t put you off coming out to join us.

Wrap up warm, bring your family, friends and four-legged companions and come along for what promises to be a lovely evening.

🍔 Supermac’s will be there with hot food and The Little Coffee Hut will have plenty of hot drinks to keep everyone warm! ☕️

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Tullamore Harriers AC tomorrow evening for the James O’Connor Memorial Walk.

It’s always a special evening, bringing people together to remember loved ones, support one another and help raise awareness of mental health.

There’ll be plenty for all the family to enjoy, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible!
