ECO WORKSHOPS COMING TO COROFIN! 🌿

Corofin Tidy Towns & CCDA, supported by Galway Rural Development’s SICAP Programme, are delighted to bring a fantastic series of ECO Workshops to Corofin! 🌱

Over 4 consecutive weeks, we’ll explore practical, useful and interesting ways to make a positive difference in our homes and community.

🌿 Workshop topics include:
🧽 Make Your Own ECO Cleaning Products
🌱 Essential Garden Herbs & Their Uses
🌸 Flowers for Pollinators
🏡 Practical Tips to Offset Climate Change in Your Home & Community

🥾 BONUS: A guided nature walk in Knockma will also be arranged!

The CCDA would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Corofin GAA Mothers & Others team on their fantastic achievement in winning the **Tadhg O'Fáinin Memorial Cup** in Dublin last Saturday.

What began as a group of Corofin women looking to try something new has quickly grown into a wonderful example of community spirit in action. Through training, teamwork and plenty of laughter along the way, this group has created something special.

Congratulations to all involved on a brilliant achievement and for representing Corofin with such pride.

If you would like to join the Corofin GAA Mothers & Others group, then come along to Ballinderry National School on Thursdays at 7pm, or the Corofin GAA pitch on Sunday mornings at 9am.

Corofin Castle Lecture 🏰

You’re Invited!

Members of the public are warmly invited to a FREE lecture exploring the history and significance of Corofin Castle.

The lecture will be presented by Dr Enda O’Flaherty, archaeologist and heritage specialist, and will explore the origins, development and importance of one of Corofin’s most recognisable historic landmarks.

All are welcome — admission is FREE.

Come along and discover more about the fascinating history of Corofin Castle and its place in our local heritage.

The new owner will also present the results of recent surveys and what is planned for the future of the Castle and its surrounding areas.
