The Trim branch of the Irish red cross is vibrant group of people who take part in a variety of events around the county, providing training, ambulance cover, and community services. We provide an array of first aid related courses from Practical first aid to Emergency Medical Technician levels. Members of TRC may also become active in branch activities such as fundrasing, community events and bec

ome involved in the branch commitee. Whether the trills and spills of working inside the ambulance environment interests you or you solely wish to experience the work of the red cross from the branch perspective, feel free to pop in and speak with our members. In terms of what we do -

What a weekend!

Yesterday we joined forces with Irish Red Cross Navan Branch to attend the LGFA PDP afternoon in Kells

We then celebrated Frank Connolly’s noughty birthday by helping Sandra C Boyne Connolly distract him to allow his family and friends arrive to his party before him and surprise him in the best possible way. After much fun and dancing we got some “codlagh i nos leabai” to refresh before going to the Scurlogstown Heritage Week day

We closed the weekend by working with Irish Red Cross at a photoshoot for an upcoming fundraising campaign. Many thanks to everyone for all your time this weekend and to Irish Red Cross Youth Trim Branch for turning out again today and working with us.

Play It Green on August 15

The Meath GAA Sustainability & Climate Action Committee invites all clubs to attend the Play It Green Family Inclusion Day on Saturday 15th August, 11am–1pm at Devenish Park, Centre of Excellence, Dunganny.

This event celebrates Gaelic Games, community, sustainability, and inclusion, with activities for all ages.

Each club has been allocated 20 complimentary tickets; places are limited and allocated on a first‑come basis.

Highlights include:

From the recent posts you can see we’ve been very busy:

We were delighted to be able to assist our colleagues in Irish Red Cross Portlaw branch at All Together Now from Friday 31/7/26 - Monday 3/8/26. It was lovely to catch up with other volunteers from around the country too. Despite the busyness of the festival we also had time for fun! MC17 also enjoyed her 3 shifts too!

After turning MC17 around and washing the dust from inside and out, she spruced up beautifully to go to the Opera at Loughcrew Estate on Saturday evening. Talk about from one extreme to the next!

MC17 didn’t get much rest before being brought to Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival on Sunday. MC13 also went along as well as 11 volunteers from our branch. It was a very enjoyable day at the Festival as always and lovely to meet and chat with everyone.

To say we are proud of Irish Red Cross Youth Trim Branch (Irish Red Cross Youth) is an understatement- we couldn’t have done what we did yesterday without you. Thank you 🙏

We can’t express how proud we are of our Youth section who truly were an enormous and enthusiastic help at Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival yesterday. We would have struggled without you - you stood up above and beyond the plate and we look forward to welcoming each and every one of you into the senior section as you reach that magical age!

I missed posting yesterday so here’s a post for yesterday and today:

Days 2 & 3 of Tommys Tournament at Trim Town Academy

Days 1 & 2 of working with Ashbourne Red Cross Irish Red Cross Navan Branch and Slane Branch Irish Red Cross at Tattersalls Ireland July Show. As always it’s a pleasure working with ye! Also great to work with paramedics Jim and Nicole again.

Over the weekend Trim has put in approximately 80 man hours in local and Area duties. Well done everyone and thank you for your time.
