All competitors must be under the age of competition on the 31st July 2025 and be resident in the Boardsmill parish area.

Boardsmill Area Art Competition, Closing Date Monday 24th March.

U8 & U10 Choose your own choice of any Community Games activities to draw or paint.

U12/U14 & U16 Art Topics from Solo Singing, Hurdles, X Rugby 7s, Badminton, Hurling, High Jump, Skittles, Rounders, Futsal, Handwriting.

County Competition will be held in Wilkinstown on Saturday 5th April for 1st & 2nd placed participants.

Community Games Cross Country

Location:
Deerpark, Oldcastle A82 N9P8

Open to children living in the Boardsmill Community Games Area. No pre registration required for this event, you can just turn up.

Children MUST BE under age in the 31/07/2025 for the age group they are competing in.

500 meters for u8/u9/u10 &u12,
No spikes for u8/u9/U10. No football boots for any age group.

U14 700 meters
U13 1200 metres
U16 5km marathon

U8,9 and 10 is county event only no progression, first 6 home get medals.

** U12 and u14,
The first 4 will make a county relay team for the national finals in Gormanstown on the last weekend in May. U13 is a cross country race at Nationals! Same weekend.

The whole event takes about an hour, medals given out straight after each race.

Race day starts with u8s,u9 etc

We would suggest kids get there for 9.30 to see the route etc and warm up.

€2 per athlete taken on the line.

U14 will be last race before the marathon but should definitely be done by 11am.

Boardsmill Community Games will run its track event on Saturday 21st May in boardsmill back pitch. Registration at 2pm taken on the day for the following events only.
U8 60 metre
U10, 100 m & 200 metres
U12, 100 m & 600 metres
U14, 100m & 800 metres,

All competitors must be under age as of 31st July 2021, that is if you turn 8 before that date in this year you compete under 10 and must also be from Boardsmill community games area. Volunteers are needed to help run event, please contact committee members.

Aldi Community Games is an independent voluntary organisation, operating in local communities throughout Ireland. We aim to provide opportunities for children and young people aged 6 to16 years.
