Jigsaw Kerry and our Youth Advocates were delighted to 💜 today and weave stars, raising vital awareness around domestic and gender-based violence.

A huge thank you to local origami artist Rebecca Lyons for joining us and teaching us the craft. Every star woven represents hope, respect, trust, compassion, understanding, and solidarity. ⭐✨

The wonderful Kerry Youth Advocates have just launched the 5th issue of their YA Zine on Managing Exam Stress. This is very timely as many young people head into the Leaving Cert, Junior Cert, school exams, or college assessments in the next few weeks.

We know that school and exams can be a significant stressor for young people, and our YAs wanted to share what helps them now, and what has helped them in the past. This issue is packed with great articles on study tips and styles, plus signposting for helpful study apps and support when things feel overwhelming.

They also discuss the next steps beyond secondary school, navigating the transition to the next phase, and the various routes available. Remember: there is more than one route available to your destination. There are many paths and supports out there, all wonderfully highlighted throughout this zine.

Click the link in our bio to read more. Please feel free to leave a comment with any tips you have for managing exam stress

Today is a beautiful reminder that creativity is a powerful tool for our wellbeing. Engaging in art is proven to reduce stress and offers us a unique way to express ourselves.

Whether you’re painting, drawing, knitting or learning something new, remember: you don’t need to be an artist to be creative. Pick up the paint brush, dont worry about the end result, and just enjoy the process of creating!

What a night! We would like to extend a huge thank you to Ciara and Clarissa from the Academy of Dance for organising and hosting the Kerry Arts Ball in aid of Jigsaw Kerry. We are truly grateful for the support and were in awe of the sheer talent on display from the young people of Kerry.

A big applause to all the wonderful performers from , , O’Neill Sisters, Sarah Hayes, , and of course, the wonderful comedian Fred Cooke.

The creative Arts are such a powerful tool for mental health, and seeing the community unite to celebrate our young people through the arts was truly moving.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this wonderful event. You are making a real difference for youth mental health. 💚
