Join artist Felix Power as he asks' Where's the 'I' in Ireland?' during an afternoon filled with thought provoking questions that only YOU know the answer to .

What does it feel like to feel like you , to come from where you come from and to feel Irish in whatever way you do ( or don't)? How can we begin to answer big but simple questions when words fail us or when straight answers don't exist?
Felix Power has some ideas ...
There will be stupid anecdotes, terrible poetry , mundane observations and tiny worthless prizes . But most importantly , there will be an opportunity to think creatively about how we all find a place in the world.

You will be guided to document and share some of those thoughts, annoymously, create and empathetic database of unique stories, a patchwork of incomplete biographies that tell something of the story of us , now.

This Free event takes place Saturday, 5 September at Tralee Library

Water colour paintings from over 100 years ago are featured in a new limited-edition book depicting landscapes and landmarks of Fenit, Barrow, and the surrounding area. The book details the fascinating story behind the unearthed paintings, the artist Dermott Perrott, and his connection to Barrow House and the McCowen family. Some of the water colours are thought to have been inspired from a visit to the area while the artist was on leave from the First World War. All proceeds are being donated to support the work of Fenit Coast Conservation. A donation of €20 or above is suggested. Huge thanks to Christopher Ackroyd and all who have made this possible. The book is available from Barrow House, Tralee Golf Club, Mike's Beach Café, the Boathouse Cafe, Fenit Gala Shop, Spa Seafoods, Ballyroe Lodge Hotel, and The Meadowlands Hotel.
