Knocknagoshel Spike Players The Knocknagoshel Drama Group was set up in September 2009 when Josephine Roche sourced drama classes from the Kerry Education Service.

The late Noelie Roche was a member of that class and Padraig Dennehy was the tutor. After Noelie's sudden death in November 2009 it was decided to call the group Spike Players dedicated to the memory of the late Noelie, known locally as ‘Spike’. Spike Players started on stage with a Variety Show in 2010 which was a huge success. In 2011 we staged a hilarious play called Troubled Bachelors and

in 2012 we staged another hilarious comedy called Wigs on the Green. As we set up this page we are busy in rehearsals for our next play called Run for Your Wife which will be on stage in Early March 2013.

Many thanks to The Spike Players, Knocknagoshel Co.Kerry, whose performance of A Wake in the West raised a fantastic €3,610 for the Trust in memory of Jimmy Joe Cotter.

Knocknagoshel Tidy Towns would like to encourage you all to support this powerful example of the circular economy in action.

Why is an event like this important to Tidy Towns? Well instead of clothes being worn very few times and thrown away, pre-loved clothes mean we can keep them in use for longer. This is reducing waste, saving resources, and cutting down on the environmental impact of fast fashion. 🌍

Did you know that textile waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams in Europe?? A small local actions like this make a real difference!

Supporting each other, keeping money local, and creating a space where people can come together, have a chat, and do something positive. 🤝

Courses at West End House School of Arts in Killarney are running from April - June! We’ve got some really exciting new offerings for adults interested in acting and playwriting, as well as a special one-time only 10-week course on Samuel Beckett and his plays. Classes run for 10 weeks in the evenings.
