Garda Patricia Fitzpatrick, visited the 2nd Kerry Cub Scouts to speak to them about being safe over the summer holidays . Great curiosity from leaders and cubs to see the garda equipment and patrol car .

2nd Kerry Scouts are recruiting for after Christmas. Scouts will meet on Friday nights from 19:00 - 20:30. Scouts are open to all. To reserve your spot as places are limited call 087 9183112(Mary).

2nd Kerry Scouts are part of Scouting Ireland and are a youth organisation primarily involved in the outdoor activities. Our age range for members is from 9 to 25 year old in different sections within the group. Cub scouts, aged 9 - 11 yrs old, meet on Thursday night from 19:00 - 20:30. Scouts meet on Friday night from 19:00 - 20:30; this group consists of Scouts 12 to 15 yrs, Ventures 15 to 17 yrs and Rovers 18 to 25 yrs. Scouts are open to all. The main aim of Scouting is that youth members learn, in a safe way, while having fun. This is called "LEARNING BY DOING". Scouting is the only organisation where they will make a promise the "On my honour, I promise to "Do My Best"". Nothing more is expected of a member other than to Do Their Best.
