Our programme of free events kicks-off at 5.30pm with fun family arts and crafts sessions with Amanda's Art at the Boat House Cafe, Fenit. Here you can make a flag or wind streamer for the parade, enjoying fabulous views of the beach and the lighthouse.
Our vibrant community parade starts at 7pm and bring us from the carpark/playground to the St Brendan Heritage Park Fenit. The procession is led by Fr. Francis and Drum Dance Ireland.
Arriving at the heritage park, Fr. Francis will give a blessing of the boats and we signal the annual St Brendan sailing race to start. The heritage park is the perfect location to watch this spectacular annual event by Tralee Bay Sailing Club -Fenit. At the same time, Drum Dance Ireland is at hand to facilitate a fabulous workshop for all the family to join in.
The last event on St Brendan's Eve is the presentation of the perpetual St Brendan Sailing Race trophy at the West End Fenit at 8.30pm.
