We did it! In just over 24 hours, a whopping €9,980 raised. Simply AMAZING! 🎉💚

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the fundraiser, including the local businesses who got behind us:

Thank you all so much for your incredible generosity and support. It really shows what we can achieve when the community comes together. 💚

We’ll leave the fundraising link open until tomorrow lunchtime for anyone who was planning to contribute. Any money raised above the €9,500 target will go towards other TCA initiatives for the benefit of the wider community.

🚧 Help Us Finish Tower Playground – €9,500 Needed 🚧

Hi all 👋

Quick update on the playground project. We've raised €134,000 so far through fundraising and grants, and the new extension is nearly done, brilliant work by everyone.

One issue has come up. The builders have told us the new surface won't match the old one once it's laid, so to avoid a patchy, mismatched look, we need to resurface the whole playground at the same time. We're short €9,500 to make that happen.

We're asking the community to help us raise this so we can get it done properly in one go, rather than closing the playground again later at a higher cost.

The Tower Community Association is delighted to announce that the Tower Green Playground upgrades are scheduled to begin within the next two weeks.

This exciting project is funded through the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, following significant hard work by the TCA Committee to secure the grant.

The upgrade will include:
⚬ An expanded playground footprint
⚬ New, upgraded play equipment
⚬ Improved fencing and lighting

Please note: To ensure public safety, the playground will be closed for at least one week during the construction. We appreciate your patience as we improve this space for our community!

Tower Community and our Deputy Lord Mayor, Cllr. John Sheehan welcomed Millstreet Community School Transition Year students to our Community Day yesterday at Tower Village Green.

These students started a Butter Road Camino Walk from Listowel four days ago following the Butter Road route right through as far as Tower yesterday, with the final leg of the walk today from Kerrypike to the Butter Market Museum. This walk is to highlight the history of the Butter Road and to collect money for Cancer Research and the Niall Mellon Educate Charity.
