Huge thank you to all of the local businesses who very kindly donated refreshments for our Darkness Into Light walk and too Roscrea Lions Club for donating the use of their space, where walkers could came together afterwards . 💛

Your generosity, kindness and community spirit helped make the event so welcoming for everyone who attended. From the early hours of the morning, the teas, coffees, Water and treats were so appreciated by all taking part. ☕✨

We are incredibly lucky to have such supportive local businesses always willing to get behind community events and help in any way they can. Your support never goes unnoticed and we are truly grateful.

💛 Our Young People Deserve So Much Credit 💛

After the incredible success of yesterday morning’s Darkness Into Light walk, before we talk about anything else, we want to take a moment to recognise a group of people we are unbelievably proud of — the young people from our service who helped out in such a big way.

They arrived first, helping with set up, and they stayed until very last, to help with the clean up. They showed maturity, compassion and a genuine willingness to help. Nothing was too much trouble, and they represented themselves and our service so incredibly well.

Young people can often get unfairly judged or spoken about negatively , but this morning was another reminder of just how thoughtful, caring, capable, proactive and community-minded they truly are. They stepped up without hesitation (or even being asked) and played such an important role in making the event the success that it was. Many hands make light work.

We are beyond grateful for every single one of them and so proud to watch them grow into such kind and supportive young adults. The future is bright with young people like these in our community. 💛

Thank you all for everything you did — you should be so proud of yourselves. I know we are.

💛 A Special Thank You to Our Incredible Stewards 💛

We want to give a huge and heartfelt thank you to our amazing stewards who helped keep everyone safe during yesterday morning’s Darkness Into Light walk.

From managing traffic, guiding walkers, helping at crossings and ensuring the route ran safely and smoothly, your support and presence gave such reassurance to everybody taking part.

Large events like this simply could not happen safely without people like you volunteering your time and stepping up to help others.

Thank you for helping create such a safe, calm and supportive atmosphere for everyone involved. We truly appreciate everything you did. 💛🏍️
