KILCONLY COMMUNITY COMEBACK

There was a great buzz in the small rural village of Kilconly, Co. Galway, on Friday last as the group there hosted its first event.

Well over 200 people attended throughout the afternoon, including public representatives, local school children, families, older members of the community, volunteers, and neighbours from across Galway and beyond.

A huge thank you to the over 40 organisations, agencies and support services who gave their time to provide free advice, health checks, information and support on everything from , and health and wellbeing.

The event, organised by Muintir na Tíre Community Alert Development Officer, Gerard Costello, in partnership with Kilconly Community Alert Group and An Garda Síochána, truly showcased the power of community spirit and connection.

It was especially wonderful to recognise the outstanding contributions of Richard (Richie) Byrne and Sonny O'Brien who have given so generously of their time and knowledge to their communities over the years.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered and helped to make the day such a success.

MENS SHED 🤝 PROPERTY BRANDING

There's scarcely a weekend that goes by where one of our CADOs is not out across the Country and, indeed, the May Bank Holiday weekend was no different, with our CADO, Diarmuid Cronin out for yet another event in Co. Cork.

Our thanks to Western Duhallow Men's Shed for hosting the event, and to Synergy Security Solutions who's provision of the high tech laser branding machines allows us to provide this service for FREE within our communities on even the most delicate equipment.

We were particularly delighted to be able to brand Duhallow West First Responders AEDs - thank you for the work that you do to keep our communities safe.

This is what real in action looks like:

✅ Having a social space to enjoy a cuppa and a chat
✅ Meeting and assisting fellow practitioners
✅ Empowering everyone to take simple, proactive steps to keep property safe and secure

DANESFORT PROPERTY BRANDING EVENT

Our Southeastern CADO Ned was kept busy at a recent event in Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny. Our thanks to Kilkenny Live for the coverage in the

Our uses a high tech laser to simply print the owners drivers licence number on property from phones to power washers, tablets to trailers, and everything in between. This acts as a theft deterrent in the first instance and also assists Gardaí in reuniting you with your property should it be recovered if lost or stolen.

Get in touch if your group would like to host your own event.
