Nenagh Men’s Shed Launches Free 4-Week Biodiversity & Community Gardening Course.
Nenagh Men’s Shed is inviting local people to take part in a free four-week Biodiversity & Community Gardening Course, starting Wednesday, May 27th, from 7pm–8:30pm at the Nenagh Community Training Centre, St. John’s Place, Nenagh.
The course will explore practical ways individuals and communities can support biodiversity, create pollinator-friendly spaces, and develop local growing projects.
Open to both members and non-members, the programme offers hands-on learning in a welcoming community setting.
Topics include
Gardening for biodiversity and protecting local wildlife.
Circular economy gardening using recycled materials.
Community gardening design and planning.
The Ash Dieback Citizen Science Project and seedling growing.
Participants will also have the opportunity to benefit from a €500 Grow Kit sponsored by Healthy Ireland.
Speaking about the initiative, A spokesperson for Nenagh Men’s Shed said the course aims to encourage community participation, environmental awareness, and practical action that can make a lasting local impact.
The course is free of charge, and all are welcome.
