We’ve got a big September ahead!
To welcome the Ave Maria students to Mount Melleray, we will run a 12km woodland walk to introduce them to this beautiful place and we want you to come with us!
The Short Way Round will raise funds for South Eastern Mountain Rescue and the Newcastle First Responders and is a St. Declan's Way, Knockmealdown Active and Ave Maria University collaboration 🙌

We were delighted to receive funding from Tipperary Co Councils Local Enhancement programme which helped us purchase some new training equipment to help keep our skills up 🙂..Newcastle CFR at the ❤️ of your community.

If you go down to the woods today....It might be an idyllic setting but the scene is deadly ..Cardiac Arrest can strike anywhere anytime ,tonights training scenario was a gentleman out for a walk in the woods when he suffered a cardiac arrest, our responders located the casualty and carried out training on Scene safety , Radio communications, CPR ,BVM ,Airways and AED use...Newcastle CFR at the ❤️ of your community.

We are reminding everyone to slow down, stay focused behind the wheel and never ever drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

What a fantastic day we had today with the brilliant 5th and 6th class students of Scoil Mhuire Newcastle. They were so engaging and interested in everything and learned life saving skills and how to find and look up their eircode and give their eircode to the emergency services using the phonetic alphabet to avoid confusion in an emergency .We really enjoyed the day and we were very proud to be able to donate an AED and Cabinet to the school afterwards,this was made possible by the generousity of the community to our fundraisers for which we are always so grateful.Best of luck to the 6th Class in their new schools in September and to the new 6th class in Scoil Mhuire ..still can't believe ye are taking a halfday on Weds and not staying on until Friday 😂😂...only joking ...Happy holidays guys and thanks for having us .Newcastle CFR af the ❤️ of your community.

We would like to sincerely thank all those that took part in our recent community first aid course,this evening we were honored and proud to present the proceeds of that first aid course a cheque for €500 to the Newcastle Muintir na Tire Lourdes fund.This money will help send a parishioner to Lourdes.We are proud to be able to give back to our community that always supports us so generously-Newcastle CFR at the heart of your community ❤️❤️
