Ryan pepper is back for another year of our HOOPS life in SETU Arena. Ryan has been coaching with us for 5 years now and he has a lot of experience with working with youth, and a proven track record of helping kids grow and develop, both on the court and in the classroom.

Ryan has a number of years National League playing experience, where he played with the Waterford Vikings, and with team Left Bank Kilkenny. He now plays for Dublin Raiders D1 team in Dublin and coaches their D3 team in a very competitive Dublin league.

We are delighted to have him join us again this summer and we are very excited to get this week Camp in Waterford up and running tomorrow morning.

We are delighted to announce that Caitlin Gloeckner will be joint us again this year for our upcoming HOOPSLIFE Summer camp in SETU Arena.

Caitlin grew up playing with Waterford Wildcats underage and the mercy secondary school before graduating to the Wildcats Superleague team of n her teenage years.

She is currently a member of the Cleveland Rockets National League team where she has earned National young player of the year honors, just missing out on the opportunity to be promoted to the superleague this past season.

She represented Ireland at u16, u18, u20 and Senior Irish Teams and has massive amounts of experience to share with our campers this coming week.

We’re delighted to have Caitlin join us this coming week and we look forward to a very exciting week of camp in Waterford!

Issy Hayden will be joining us as a Camp coach this week for our Scoil Ruain, Killenaule HOOPS life camp.

Izzy played six years of basketball in Scoil Ruain, helping her team win an all Ireland B title the process, and gaining promotion to the A division of School basketball.

She then went on to play college basketball in Mary I in Limerick, where an injury put Basketball on pause for her in the short term.

She has since returned to the court and has been a big part in the developing Tipp Talons ladies team this past two years.

We are delighted to have Izzy joining the staff, and we’re looking forward to have her guide these young campers to having fun and developing their skills over the week.

HOOPSLife Ireland is delighted to welcome the next wave of young and enthusiastic International basketball players who will be joint us as coaches in our summer camps this year.

These incredibly talented young players will be joining us this week in Scoil Ruáin and next week in SETU Arena Waterford to help guide our HOOPSLife campers and give them an incredible basketball experience.

With multiple years of international basketball experience at U16 and U18 levels, along with experience playing in the Irish National League, and in the USA, these coaches are incredibly experienced for their age and will provide massive value in our camps in the coming weeks.

‼️ Updates Schedule for the Academy ‼️

The Academy is growing so rapidly we are separating the under 8s and 10s from the under 12s and 14s

Last week we had 40+ kids in the Academy and while this is fantastic, the downside is I am not able to focus fully on either of the two groups and help them progress their skills!

I also am putting an awful a lot of pressure on the people helping me to be able to manage the big numbers!

I hope everybody will be happy with the split and I hope this will allow for the younger kids to get more fun and enjoyment out of it, and some of the older kids to get more focused coaching so they can develop more in the coming weeks!
