PPN Tipperary The Public Participation Networks (PPN) is a formal way for voluntary groups to interact with the County Council and to give the Public a strong mechanism.

The Public Participation Networks (PPN) are the new way for voluntary groups to interact with the County Council and to give the Public a strong mechanism to participate in the ‘Well-being’ of their local area and the county and all its people. This is the page of the Tipperary PPN and not the County Council. The PPN’s will:

Facilitate the participation and representation of communities

in a fair, equitable and transparent manner on decision making bodies. Create a vision of ‘Well-being’ for our communities for this and future generations. Strengthen the capacity of communities and all other voluntary groups to contribute positively to the community in which they reside/participate. Provide relevant information and act as a hub around which information is distributed and received. Work in an inclusive, respectful, transparent and collaborative manner. Gather feedback and input into policies and plans being developed by local authorities, reflecting both areas of disagreement and, where there is no consensus, the range of views. Operate in a manner that recognises that the sectors are broad and made up of people with many different opinions. Facilitate the participation and representation of communities in a fair, equitable and transparent manner through the environmental, social inclusion & voluntary sectors on decision making bodies. Strengthen the capacity of communities and of the environmental, social inclusion & voluntary groups to contribute positively to the community in which they reside/participate. Provide information relevant to the environmental, social inclusion & voluntary sector and acts as a hub around which information is distributed and received. It is not expected that the Public Participation Networks will come up with a ‘one voice response’ but that it will feed back the issues and suggestions raised by a broad range of groups. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧

Join us the for 5th instalment of Sporting Pride’s and Sport Ireland’s Campaign. An online social media campaign that focuses on sport within the LGBTQ+ Community for Pride in Ireland 🌈 Sport is an important outlet for a lot people, clubs provide a space for safety, a sense of belonging, and helps combat the anxiety in world that constantly feels like its on fire. A cornerstone for that safety is visibility, a sense of ‘being seen’ and accepted; something that every person needs, gay or straight.

One of goals for Let’s Get Visible is to pedestal LGBTQ+ athletes, their sporting achievements, the clubs and communities they play in, and their voice as ambassadors for sport. The other one is to spotlight LGBTQ+ allies work within and for the community to make the world a little bit safer 💕

Along with this promotional campaign, each week throughout Pride month Sport Ireland will be showcasing the specialised training by our LGBT+ Advocate Groups with Sporting Pride on the 8th, TENI the 15th and ShoutOut on the 23rd of June. These complimentary courses are open to all to attend and wonderful opportunity to learn more and celebrate sport during Pride month. 💚💙💜

The first free to attend course will be Sporting Pride on Monday 8th June from 10am to 12pm with their online workshop focused on making Irish sport a more inclusive, welcoming and supportive place for the LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone Welcome!

Following a request from a parent for a movement class suitable for both children and adults, Paul is delighted to launch this special community event on Sunday, 21st June. If well supported, it may become a regular gathering at Inch Field.
