SEAI SEC Regional Connects Event Series- Multiple Dates

SEAI are hosting two free upcoming events in County Limerick and Cork City for local sustainable energy groups (SECs) in the Midwest/ Southwest region.

• Saturday 10th October in Woodlands Hotel Co. Limerick
• Saturday 17th October in Nano Nagel Place, Cork City

It promises to be a practical and useful day, with a chance to meet other SECs from across the Country. The breakout sessions cover the following topics: Solar Meitheal, Community Centre Retrofits, The Community Project Passport. It will be a chance to share experiences and pick up ideas for your own community.

Candlelight Walk for Childhood Cancer Ireland.

Thurles Lions club have organised gentle walk for people of all ages promoting awareness of childhood cancer Ireland.

Thurles Lions Club hope the walk on Saturday 26th September 2026 will highlight the great work done by this charity which is dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer, survivors and their families throughout their cancer experience.

Census 2027 temporary Census Field Staff.

Our next census will take place in April – May 2027. To help us carry it out we are recruiting staff across the country in September and November 2026.

We are currently recruiting for 466 Census Field Supervisors. Closing date to apply is 2pm on Tuesday 22nd September.

The successful candidates will be based from their homes and work in their local area from January until June 2027.
