Today we presented Parkinson’s Ireland (Dublin Branch) with a cheque for €5985.82 which came from our fundraising endeavours prior to Christmas, Carol singing and calendar sales.

Our first tour of 2026 took place to the Garda museum in Dublin Castle. It is a self guided tour which illustrates the history of Policing in Ireland from prior to independence to the current day. It is very interesting, informative and well worth a visit. Sixteen of our members attended and there was unanimous agreement that the tour was excellent. We adjourned to a local cafe for lunch.

Today 15 of our members visited Dublin Castle for our Monthly tour. Our OPW guide Pat was excellent, you would think he lived hundreds of years of history not studied it. We had a great time , learned lots and adjourned to the Silk Road cafe in the Chester Beatty library for lunch. Castle

We have produced a calendar for 2026 @ €10 each, all Profits go to Parkinson’s Ireland, Drop into our music morning any Tuesday 10:30-12 in Saint Jude’s Parish hall, at the Cosy corner cafe, or to our Shed on a Thursday morning 10-12 in Templeogue uniteds car park D6wye24

Support you local scouts

Our local Scouts at 103rd Willington have and will be busy chopping wood for kindling to raise funds for the local troop. They are working hard on this initiative and it is being supported by our local hardware at The Paint Pot so remember to stock up before the cold snap (and keep coming back) and buy one for a friend! Look out for the hand chopped, hand packed and packaged and feel a warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you supported a great local cause while getting you toasty warm 🔥🔥🔥🔥Win win!!! Today eleven members of our Shed visited the National Theatre, The Abbey for a tour. Our Host for the tour, Sean was brilliant, passionate and a font of knowledge about the Abbey from its history, its productions. To every nook and cranny in the Building, the the costumes, makeup, seating and pricing. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this National treasure. 🇮🇪🇮🇪
