Ireland's leading STEAM summer camp, Designer Minds, is coming to Holywell Community Centre Swords ‍this summer for a week of fun and games with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design and Maths.



At the Designer Minds Science, Design & Technology Summer Camp in Swords, children spend a week doing exactly what they love, in a space that's built entirely for them and their tribe. They'll extract real DNA from a banana, peer through a microscope at the hidden world around them, and engineer LEGO skyscrapers that survive earthquakes. They'll code robots, launch their own rockets, and decode the basics of programming using mechanical computers. They'll leave on Friday wearing a chromatography T-shirt they designed themselves. And so much more! They'll come home buzzing with take-home projects they made, fantastic memories, new friends and stories they tell all evening. ‍

The camp runs from Mon, Aug 10 to Fri, Aug 14, is for children aged 6.5 to 12 (entering 1st to 6th class) and you can use Holywell Community Centre Swords ‍'s exclusive referral code, friendC8THXJS ‍, to receive €10 off.



Designer Minds camps are limited to a maximum of 36 children, all leaders are garda vetted and thousands of families nationwide have rated it 9.4/10 in past years.

Registration is in person only. Application forms must be completed on the day and full payment made at the time of registration.

We’re excited to share that our community centre is taking part in the Fingal Climate Action Heroes 2026 campaign!

This is a fun, community-driven initiative where simple everyday actions like saving energy, reducing waste, or choosing sustainable transport can make a real difference.
