National CPD Mapping Exercise – Focus Groups

We need your voice!

The Department of Children, Disability and Equality (DCDE) is currently working with Crowe Advisory Limited to support the development of a national Continuing Professional Development (CPD) mapping exercise.

There is an opportunity to engage in focus groups. These focus groups will be conducted across the following cohorts: Early Learning and Care (ELC) / School-Age Childcare (SAC) providers and Childminders.

Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley - TD and Minister of State with responsibility for Disability Emer Higgins T.D. hosted the Department’s Pre-Estimates Forum this week in Dublin, focused on “Delivering value for people with disabilities.”

Stakeholders from across the sector—including DPOs, advocacy groups, service providers and the HSE—came together to discuss priorities for Budget 2027. Discussions highlighted person-centred supports, future planning for disability services, and innovative, individualised approaches.

The first five years of your child’s life are crucial for their long-term positive mental health. To support you create a nurturing environment, the National Parents Council (NPC), in partnership with St. Patrick's Mental Health Services, is offering a series of free online webinars for parents.

What You’ll Learn:
This programme provides practical insights and strategies, including:
How everyday life shapes your child’s mental health
Supporting your child manage big feelings and cope with challenges
Building and nurturing a strong parent-child relationship.
Helping your child in developing resilience.
Promoting children’s rights for a mentally healthy life.
Practical steps to implement the Five Ways to Wellbeing

The session will last approximately 75 minutes and includes an interactive Q&A with our experienced facilitators. Taking place the week of the 1st of June, sessions will take place at 10am and 7.30pm Tuesday to Thursday, and 10am on Friday

We need your voice!


The Department of Children, Disability and Equality (DCDE) is currently working with Crowe Advisory Limited to support the development of a national Continuing Professional Development (CPD) mapping exercise.


This work aims to identify CPD opportunities currently available across the Early Learning and Care (ELC), School‑Age Childcare (SAC) and Childminding sectors.


As part of this exercise, Crowe Advisory Limited will engage with key stakeholders to build a clear and comprehensive overview of existing CPD provision, levels of engagement and access, as well as future CPD needs across the sector.



The deadlines for the Provider and Educator surveys are now extended until 8th June. The Irish language version of the survey is available at the following link:

ADHD Ireland are delighted to invite you to the official launch of ADHD Ireland's Strategic Plan 2026 - 2030 on Thursday, 18th June at 12.30pm.

This important milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter for ADHD Ireland as we set out our vision and priorities for the next coming years, working towards a future where ADHD is understood, accepted, supported and celebrated.

We would love our members, supporters, partners and followers to join us as we share our plans for the future and celebrate this exciting occasion together.

The event will be officially launched by Minister Mary Butler TD and will feature contributions from guests representing healthcare, research and lived experience.
