Bereaved
Deepest sympathy is extended to Cecil Howden, Borim, Swanlinbar on the death of his brother Ray, whose funeral took place in Saint Mogue's Church, Bawnboy on Friday 31 July. May he Rest in Peace.

Ballinamore Athletic Club Festival RoadRaces
The Annual Ballinamore Family Festival Roadraces will take place on Sunday August 9 at 1.00 pm.as the opening event of the 2026 Festival. The event is being sponsored for the fourth year in succession by local firm Solar Compare. The Open 10K which incorporates a Leitrim Championship open to those born or living in Leitrim will also include three Masters grades while the Open 5K will include an Under 20 and Under 16 section. Entries for both races are made online through Eventmaster and should be made without delay. In addition to the main events there will be a 1500m race for Under 10, 12 and 14 with entries taken up to 12.30 pm. on race day at the race headquarters which will be the Island Theatre convenient to both start and finish of all races. There will be numerous prizes, including cash, on offer.

Bawnboy Community Festival
31 July to 3 August. Friday Car treasure hunt, festival opening, table quiz. Saturday - children's treasure hunt, pet show, Fancy dress show. Sunday 2 vintage family fun day music on the day. Monday - boat trip to st mogues island, jampa ling buddhist centre open day, ending with festival raffle. All funds raised go to cancer charities and local community services.

The centre is closed for summer holidays. The centre will reopen on Friday 11 September 2026. Wishing everyone a safe and happy summer holiday. A big thank you to those who help out every Friday. We appreciate it very much.

Our first game in this year’s Junior Championship is against Belturbet in Bawnboy on Friday 17 July at 8pm and our second game is against Lacken in Ballyconnell on Saturday 25 July at 6pm.

Corlough Community First Responders
A dedicated group of local cyclists will cycle from Malin Head to Corlough on July 18th to raise much needed funds for this voluntary group of trained local people who provide emergency care in our community while awaiting an ambulance in response to emergencies including - Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, Strokes & Choking. The group provides an essential service across Corlough, Templeport, Swanlinbar,Corraleehan and Aughawillan helping to deliver potentially life-saving care in those critical first minutes before professional medical assistance arrives. Every donation no matter how big or small will make a huge difference and help keep this invaluable service available for the people who need it most. Please support the fundraiser at gofundme Malin head to Corlough cycle in aid of Corlough Responders.

Saturday 25th July there is a 7.5km Fun Run / Walk in aid of who are currently supporting who is living with .
Registration opens at 5pm in Templeport St Aidan's GAA with the walk starting at 6pm sharp.
This walk will be on public roads and all participants are asked to please wear bright or reflective clothes.
All proceeds support and local community services through Bawnboy community Festival and templeport parish.
Voluntary donations welcome on the day.
Light refreshments served afterwards, so a great opportunity to relax and catch up with friends and neighbours.

Recent Death
Deepest sympathy is extended to Ben McHugh and family Swanlinbar on the death of his brother Father Patrick McHugh, Killesher/Swanlinbar. The whole community was saddened to learn of his passing. His Funeral Mass took place in Saint Mary's Church, Swanlinbar on Monday 29 June with burial afterwards in Killaghduff Cemetery. May he Rest in Peace.

Sunday 24 May in the Day Centre from 5pm to 8pm. Music by Andy Murphy. Refreshments served. Donations voluntarily. All proceeds go to the Day Centre.

Are having a Spring clothes collection on Tuesday 5 May all clothes and household textile items welcome. Please bring items to school grounds before Tuesday 5 May and place them in the green shed. (Duvets and pillows are not accepted). Thank you for your support. It is very much appreciated.
