The 2026 Carbery Show on Thursday 16th July was launched tonight by Councillor Brendan McCarthy in Skibbereen Library.
The first Carbery Show was held in 1836 so this year we will celebrate our 190th anniversary.
A special Thank you to Sharon O'Mahony, Skibbereen Library for hosting our launch night.

We in Carbery Show Society were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Councillor Joe Carroll.

Joe was a great friend and supporter to all of us in Carbery Show. He attended our Show every year without fail and our 2024 Show was extra special when he attended as the Mayor of Cork County where he enjoyed celebrity status.

Joe was always at the end of the phone if we needed any help or advice.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

We send our heartfelt sympathies to his wife Sheila, his children Linda and Kieran and to his grandaughter Anna and the extended Carroll family.

May you rest in eternal peace Joe.
