Cape Clear Island: Oileán Chléire Cape Clear Island is a small rugged island off the coast of West Cork, Ireland. Our island is small and our community is tiny and diverse.

It boasts overwhelming scenery as well as tradition in transition, encompassing everything from standing stones to high speed internet! We want to paint a complete picture of our island as much as possible, not just aspects of it. We need to establish and maintain links with people and organisations on the outside who would need to get a realistic impression of an Irish offshore island in our day

and who may feel that they can contribute to it. The island toursim sector is called to take an interest in this site and use it to inform such people of their facilities. Representatives from the sectors not directly involved in tourism are called upon to help paint the picture of our island that presents a realistic changing image of Oileán Chléire.
