Join Sustainable Skerries and the Skerries Cycling Initiative for a gentle cycle past five of Skerries' fourteen mini orchards, with a couple of short picnic breaks. We're teaming up with the Skerries Cycling Initiative for this social and family-friendly cycle. We will show you five of our mini orchards, starting at Skerries Train Station and finishing near the playing fields in Kelly's Bay, at the Kelly's Bay Open Orchard (the biggest and oldest of the Skerries Open Orchards).
Please bring snacks to share and a rug or picnic blanket.
This is a free event, but numbers are limited (it's an insurance thing...), so please sign up in advance, using this form:

or if that doesn't work for you, just email us: [email protected]
Children very welcome if accompanied by a parent and under their control at all times (it’s an insurance thing, too)
We'll send you an email on the day before & confirm all details, including a Plan B if the weather is forecast to be very bad! Below just a few impressions of our orchards... You can see more on sustainableskerries.com/orchards

Dear SCA member,

This is to let you know that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Skerries Community Association will take place on 25 June starting 8 P.M (and finishing 9.30 at the latest) in The Little Theatre, Skerries Community Centre. Official notification will follow closer to the date.

This year the AGM will be preceded by an information session from SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) on their energy saving grants. This will take place from 6.30 to 7.30, also in The Little Theatre.
Refreshments will be served between the two events.

Come along for an update on what the Association and its committees are doing and planning and learn about the range of grants available to help you save on your energy costs.
