We provide support and education with compassion where and when needed in Co. Second Chance Animal Rescue Limited is a voluntary animal welfare group based in Shannon, Co. We have two catteries, one in Labasheeda and the other in Kilmurray McMahon. We need help with fundraising and getting homes for many of the cats, dogs, kittens and puppies that are unwanted or abused. We will try to help where and when we can and in the case of wild cats, we practice a 'Trap Neuter and Release' policy. CHARITY NO: 17651

💜 Paying Your Respects to Frances 💜

For anyone who wishes to pay their respects and say a final goodbye to Frances, she will be at Cullinan & Neston Funeral Home, Church Street, Ennistymon, Co. Clare, V95 XH99.

The funeral home will be open on Tuesday between 4 and 5 for those who wish to pay their respects.

Frances will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. May she rest in peace. 💜🐾

🖤 In Loving Memory of Frances Murphy 💜

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Murphy, who passed away today following a short illness.

Frances devoted her heart and soul to running an animal sanctuary, dedicating so much of her life to rescuing, caring for and giving animals a second chance. Her compassion, kindness and unwavering commitment to animals touched so many lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. 🐾💜

A very special and heartfelt thank you to Frankie Coote and Sam Cleary for spending the last six weeks caring for Frances, and to all her wonderful volunteers who continued to look after the rescue and its animals so beautifully. Your kindness, dedication and support mean more than words can say. 💜

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Frances’s beloved husband, Jimmy, and all her family and friends at this heartbreaking time.

Rest peacefully, Frances. Thank you for everything you did for the animals who needed you. Your love and compassion will live on in every life you saved. 🐾💜

She is full of energy and very affectionate, she hasnt had much attention and is always looking for love and cuddles, shes very active and would suit someone who loves walking. Her previous owners move to another county and left her here in clare, she is very timid, but with a bit of patience and a lot of love and reasurance she will be a fabulous companion.
