We are delighted to share another milestone in the Sandyford Business District placemaking programme, delivered in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

The rollout of our new-look road signage has now been successfully completed across the district.
These upgraded signs are more than just wayfinding tools - they contribute to creating a stronger sense of place, improving navigation for businesses, employees and visitors while reinforcing the district’s identity as a vibrant and connected business destination.

This project forms part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the public realm and investing in initiatives that improve the experience of everyone who lives, works and visits the district.

At Sandyford Business District, we are committed to actively enhancing and protecting the local environment through ongoing, hands-on sustainability initiatives that supplement the work carried out by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council

Our work includes:

🧹 Daily litter picking, landscaping and public realm maintenance to keep the district clean and welcoming
🌱 Planting sustainable, pollinator-friendly greenery across the district.
🌳 Supporting biodiversity with over 480 trees planted in the pocket forest at Naomh Ólaf GAA Club
🤝 Regular Community Clean-Up mornings bringing businesses and volunteers together
♻️ Electrical waste recycling events promoting responsible disposal and circular economy practices
🐝 Installation of bee hives and insect hotels to support local biodiversity and ecosystems

Together, these initiatives help create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable district for everyone who lives, works, and visits Sandyford. 🌍✨

A meeting was held before our last ULG meeting with community volunteers. This was to guide them through the process of drafting a constitution for the establishment of a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG). Discussions focused on the purpose and structure of the organisation, governance arrangements, membership, committee roles, decision-making procedures, and legal responsibilities. Volunteers also discussed timelines, consultation, and the next steps required to progress the formal establishment of the CLG.
