Hi All! With Summer fast approaching we are aware our volunteers will be taking well deserved holidays and a number of drivers might not be as available during this time. So, we are doing a little shout out to the community of Rush & Loughshinny to see if anyone feels they could spare an hour or two a month to help deliver meals. Every little bit of help counts, be it 1 hour a month or more. It's a lovely way to 'give back' so if you think you can help (& if you have a car) please text Marian on #086 3358155. Many thanks to Rush Cricket Club, SuperValu Rush & Tesco Rush...with their support we delivered some Christmas treats to the recipients of Meals on Wheels. A massive thanks to Rush Cricket Club who organised Poinsettia plants to go to everyone along with their meals today. They've also kindly donated money through their fundraising efforts which will be used for some Christmas treats next week. 👏👏👏Another huge 'THANK-YOU' to some of the children from the National school who made some lovely Christmas cards. 👌Efforts like this from the community bring huge smiles to our lovely meal recipients. Hi everyone! Rush 'Meals on Wheels' are putting a shout out to our comunnity to see if we can get more drivers on board! It can be anything from once a month to whatever suits you! This is a much needed service and is so much appreciated by the lovely customers. It involves collecting meals from the community centre (@ 12pm Mon - Fri) , delivering them to approx 10 customers & dropping the delivery box back to the centre. All in, it takes less than an hour. With schools & Autumn returning soon, if you feel your routine will allow you help once or twice a month, we'd be thrilled to get a few more drivers on our team of volunteers...the more the merrier! 😊 If you'd like more info please text Marian on #086 3358155.
