‼️ U12 League ‼️

Our U12 girls had a tough day on the scoreboard last Saturday in Rostellan against a very talented Valley Rovers team as they continue their Phase 4 league campaign.

Despite the result, the girls showed fantastic character, determination and never gave up, continuing to attack the opposition’s goals right up until the final whistle. 💪💚

Plenty of positives to take from the game as this group continues to learn, develop and grow together. Well done girls! 👏 🟢⚪️

Our U10s headed to Clonakilty today for a fantastic afternoon of camogie, taking on Barryroe, Valley Rovers and Clonakilty.

Nearly 50 girls took to the pitch for a brilliant afternoon of games! It may have been a dirty, wet day, but the girls did brilliantly and adapted so well to the challenging conditions.

Well done to all the girls for their great effort and enthusiasm! 👏💚 A big thank you to Clonakilty for hosting us and for a great afternoon of camogie

‼️ U14 Championship ‼️

A tough evening for our U14s as they came up short against Castlemartyr in their latest Championship outing.

Despite the result not going our way, the girls battled hard throughout and showed great determination, teamwork and spirit right to the final whistle. 💚 There are plenty of positives to take from the game, and this group will continue to learn and grow from every challenge they face.

Plenty more to come from this team, and this result has blown the group wide open! 💪

Time to regroup and get back to work ahead of our final group game at the end of the month. See everyone at training on Sunday! 💚 🟢⚪️

A great home win for our U12s yesterday against Na Piarsaigh!

It was the girls’ first time playing 15-a-side on a full-size pitch as part of the U13 Development League, but they adapted brilliantly to the bigger pitch and put in a fantastic performance. 💪

Well done girls - a great effort from everyone! 💚

After a small summer break, the Aghada-2 U12 girls were back into league action this morning, kicking off Phase 4 at home in Rostellan against Inniscarra-2.

A few showers didn’t stop them from putting on a great game! It was a very competitive match, with all the girls brilliant from start to finish and showing fantastic teamwork, skill and determination.

Great to@be back at it and to get Phase 4 underway - well done girls, ye should all be very proud 💚

💚 U10 Blitz in Youghal 💚

Our U10s travelled to Youghal today for a blitz. It was a wet start, but that didn’t dampen the girls’ spirits!

The girls did brilliantly, putting into practice all the skills they’ve been working on in training and showing great effort and determination throughout the games.

And it looks like there was some very intense discussion happening during a break between two of our coaches! 😂 We’re not sure if they were discussing tactics or just catching up! 😉

Well done to all the girls — ye did yourselves and the club proud! 💚

Kildorrey 3-10

Heartbreak for our U16 girls last evening as Kildorrey edged a cracking Championship contest by the narrowest of margins.
Aghada led 1-7 to 0-5 at the break and carried that momentum into the second half, building up a strong lead before Kildorrey fought their way back into the game.
A late Aghada 45 brought the sides level, but Kildorrey got the final score to take the win by a single point.
A tough result to take, but a huge effort from the girls and plenty of positives to bring into the next one. Thanks to everyone who came out to support. 🟢⚪️

‼️U14 Championship ‼️ Our U14 girls began their championship campaign with an absolute thriller against Carrigtwohill last night. Under the lights on the Quarry Pitch, they were nothing short of outstanding. From the first throw in to the final whistle, every single girl gave her all -tackling hard, supporting one another, and showing the kind of heart and determination that makes this group so special.
It was score for score throughout a gripping first half, with neither side giving an inch. The girls worked tirelessly, linking play beautifully and defending with real grit. At the break, only a single point separated the teams, with Carrig holding the narrowest of leads – 1-3 to 1-2.
The second half was every bit as intense as the first. Both teams kept the pace high, battling for every ball and refusing to let up. The supporters were treated to end to end camogie, full of commitment and bravery from both sides. When the final whistle sounded, the scoreboard showed evens all, Aghada 3-03 to Carrigtwohill 2-6, a fair result after such a fiercely contested game.
A brilliant start to the championship, full of spirit, skill, and togetherness from this fantastic group of girls. Next up is a trip to Castlemartyr next Wednesday 2nd Sept.
