Wexford Library
0539196760

has partnered with the Vodafone Foundation’s Hi Digital programme to improve digital access for older people through a tablet loan scheme.

The scheme is available in all five Wexford library branches across the county, allowing library members to borrow ready-to-use tablets with the Hi Digital course, preloaded data, and apps like BorrowBox and RTÉ Player.
Each tablet comes ready to go with internet access, helpful apps, and the free Hi Digital course already set up.

Hi Digital, in partnership with ALONE, is a free Vodafone Foundation course helping older people build digital skills through simple lessons on smartphones, online safety, and everyday apps, supported by flexible, self-paced learning in a familiar community setting.

The tablets can be borrowed for a period of up to four weeks, and assistance is available from library staff in each of the five library branches across County Wexford.
Contact your local library to find out more.

Good morning everyone,

Following a recent Cottage Autism Network (CAN) Board meeting, we are delighted to announce a proposed Open Day in partnership with Cois Barry Community House.

Join us on Saturday, 27th June from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Cois Barry Community House for what promises to be a welcoming and inclusive event. This is a wonderful opportunity for autistic adults (18+) to come together in a safe and supportive social hub, meet new people, and build meaningful friendships.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day.

COMMUNITY BASED DRUGS INITIATIVE (CBDI)

The Wexford Community Based Drugs Initiative in partnership with Cois Barry Community House, work with individuals, families and communities in County Wexford who are either directly or indirectly affected by substance misuse. We provide a range of community-based support services including Education, Prevention & Harm Reduction Interventions which can be offered throughout the individuals continuum of care.

Our service recognises that some people, at times, chose to use substances (drugs and/or alcohol). Our service offers harm reduction support for those looking to address concerns around this. This approach seeks to help clients to identify the risks and harms associated with their use, and to work with them to reduce these harms. We offer a safe, confidential space for people to discuss their substance use and support them to identify and achieve their goals.

Anyone looking for information and/or support for themselves or a family member can contact our service on 087 935 1765, by phone or text, to arrange an appointment.
