We are a people designed to pray. Inbuilt is our need to encounter with our Creator. Let us, as an online community, pray together. Aside from the petition prayer that we often invite, let us today simply aim to be in the present moment, to live our day through the prism of God's presence all around us. Let's carve aside time - to not ask for stuff - but instead to simply be. As we do so, we can be mindful of our online community who seeks to do the same. Thank you, dear Lord, for your presence among us, for the gift of life, of work, of the senses, of play, thought, speech and silence. May we use all of these things to simply be, today, in your presence.

Snow At the Abbey, our orchard cold and bare; a timely reminder of seasons and the changes in nature. We are the same: we change, ebb and flow, and go through spiritual seasons. But to stay steadfast in all things is the goal, that we may better emulate the Christly nature of our identity.

On behalf of the entire community of Our Lady of Silence, may we warmly welcome you to our new page! (Link above.) Ours is a new community, formed from long-held, established ones. We pray, as a Monastic and wider community, to the Holy Spirit for guidance and grace. As we awake to begin a new day, let us renew our dedication to the Spirit, always listening for our call to holiness. The monks here at the Abbey, our cherished neighbours, all our Internet friends: may we as one wider community all strive for the peace of the Kingdom. Amen.
