🌞 Looking for something to do this beautiful Sunday? Come say hello! 👋

The South Roscommon Community First Responders team is out and about today at the Connaught Street Markets.

We’d love for you to drop by our stand, meet some of the team and chat about what we do.

While you're here, you can:
- Try your hand at CPR: Practice on our training manikins and pick up a lifesaving skill in just a few minutes.
- Learn about AEDs: See how simple it is to use a defibrillator.
- Become a lifesaver: We are actively looking for new volunteers in the area! Whether you want to respond to emergencies or help us behind the scenes, sign up today and make a massive difference in our community.
- No experience is needed to volunteer—we provide all the training.

Come down, enjoy the market atmosphere, and discover how you can help the community in South Roscommon. Pictured here is Emer with two members of Order of Malta.

See you at the markets!

Today marks one month since South Roscommon Community First Responders went live.
In that time, our volunteers have already responded to 12 calls, supporting the National Ambulance Service and providing early assistance in our community when it matters most.

A sincere thank you to our responders for their dedication and to the community for the continued support.
We remain committed to being ready when our community needs us.

Knowing your Eircode is great, but it's so important to ensure that you write it down and leave it somewhere obvious in case its needed in an emergency situation.

On the fridge, by the phone.. as long as it's obvious, clearly visible and legible!

Do it today ✅

Amazing work being done by Community First Responder groups across Ireland 👏

Huge credit to the Critical CFR - Douglas group highlighted in this RTE article, showing the real impact volunteers can have in those critical first minutes.

A Busy Few Weeks… and We’re Officially LIVE! ✨

The weeks leading up to our launch have been full-on and incredibly exciting!

Some of our volunteers attended the Volunteer Recruitment Day, arranged by Roscommon Volunteer Centre in Caseys Londis Roscommon.
We met passionate people who share our commitment to supporting our community. The interest and support we received meant so much to us 💙

We also had a huge milestone as our founder, Damien Ennis, was featured on our local radio station, Shannonside FM, helping spread the word about who we are, what we do, and why this group matters. Click the link to listen to the interview: https://www.shannonside.ie/podcasts/lets-talk/

After all the hard work (meetings, training and paperwork) behind the scenes, we are thrilled to say that we are now officially LIVE 🎉
Proud to be the first community first responder group in Roscommon 🔊🔊
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far — this is just the beginning.
