🏳️‍🌈Happy Pride Everyone!🏳️‍🌈

Our young people had an amazing time at this year's Roscommon Pride! Our young people had a lot of fun walking in this year’s parade and enjoying the family fun day. And can we also just say that each and every one of our young people looked absolutely fabulous on the day.

We would like to give a very special shout out to this year's Grand Marshal, our very own Foróige LGBTQI+ Youth Office, Joanna O’Reilly. We are so proud of you and all the hard work you do. You have made such an amazing impact on the lives of all of our young people.

Finally a big thank you to Roscommon Pride for all your support and an amazing weekend.

🎬Kids Own Premiere - Video🎬

We would like to give our young people a big well done on those who have been taking part in the kids own project. 🎨Over the last couple of months our young people have been working hard in workshops facilitated by artist Andy Parson and poet Mary Branley, to come up with a showcase, and share their opinions of being a young person in rural Ireland, and being an LGBTQI+ young person in rural Ireland. 🏳️‍🌈 The young people took part in many workshops including stop motion, printing, lino printing, collage, wire sculpture, poetry and creative writing, painting and drawing. As you can see the young people have been very busy!🎥

We would like to give a big thank you to Kids Own for supporting us with this fantastic project. Your support and guidance throughout this journey has been amazing.

Further, we would like to thank The Roscommon Arts Centre for letting us use your fabulous venue, and to Justin Farrelly Photography, for shooting these amazing photos on the day of the premiere

A massive congratulations to our incredible young people who completely blew us away with the premiere of their short film at the Boyle Arts Festival! 🌟👏

These talented stars wrote their own original script, developed their own unique characters and filmed every single scene right here in Boyle! Their dedication, creativity and teamwork shone through every single frame and we couldn't be prouder! 🎥✨

We'd like to say a big thank you to our many funders!



We'd also like to give a huge thank you Ciaran Wilson from Wilsain Media for facilitating our film workshops and supporting our young people with this project.

We'd further like to thank King House for hosting us and providing such a magnificent venue for our big premiere.

🤩ELPHIN🤩

Adventure, Teamwork & Independence at Lilliput!

What an incredible trip our young people from Elphin had at Lilliput Adventure Centre! 🙌

The group got stuck into a fantastic range of activities, including bog hopping, orienteering, team-building games and SUP boarding with plenty of challenges, laughs and new experiences along the way! 🏃‍♀️🧭🏄‍♂️

The trip was about much more than having fun. It gave the young people an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and develop independence away from parents and familiar surroundings. They also had the chance to strengthen important life skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, resilience and decision-making.

It was brilliant to see everyone encouraging one another, taking on new challenges and discovering what they were capable of. 💪✨
