Adam's Fun Run

Adam was honoured to receive the Individual Award this evening at the Garda Youth Awards for the Roscommon & Longford Division. A wonderful evening of celebrations for many young people who received recognition for their good work in the community.

As a family we are so proud of Adam and what he has achieved having raised over €37,000 for Aoibheann's Pink Tie and Childhood Cancer Ireland. We are very grateful to the executive of Fuerty GAA for nominating him for the award.

Thank you to all of the Gardai and members of Longford and Roscommon County Councils for the work involved in putting together this awards ceremony. A fantastic evening.

Well done to all of the nominees and award winners.

‼️ HUGE THANK YOU ALERT ‼️

What started out as an idea became a huge community day out and we were privileged to display our wonderful community to the many, many people who travelled to join Adam's Fun Run.

There are too many people to thank individually, stewards, registration team, refreshment squad, race management teams.... The list goes on. You know who you are and please know how much we appreciate all of your help.

The generosity of people is unbelievable, especially in a time where so many charities need support. We are delighted that we will be donating a significant sum to each charity and that is because of the generous donations made by so many. We will post the final total raised shortly but donations continue to come in and our donation page remains open for another couple of weeks.

We hope that Adam's Fun Run has brought some awareness to people of childhood cancer and the importance of the charities who support families like ours. We also hope that it brought a smile to your faces, as your donations will help to put smiles back on the faces of children.

We thank all of our family, friends, colleagues and our community for all of your ongoing love and support.

1 more sleep! 😮

We are so excited, even the rain of yesterday and today hasn't dampened our spirits. Thankfully the weather forecast is looking a little better for tomorrow.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and most importantly showing our support to these 2 amazing charities.

The generosity just keeps coming in the form of donations and also raffle prizes. A big thank you for the following prizes which have been so kindly donated.

Thank you to the Abbey Hotel Roscommon for a voucher for dinner for 2 to the value of €100.

Thank you to Daltons Public House - Fuerty for a voucher to the value of €50.

We are grateful to Paul Connolly for donating 3 copies of his book "The landed estates of County Roscommon". This is a gorgeous look back at the old estates of our county.

A big thank you to J Blighe TV Services who have donated a €100 One4All gift voucher.

We have had a few questions coming in so will try to answer here:

1. Registration will take place at Mulhern Park, (Fuerty GAA pitch) on the morning of the run/walk. F42 X625. All participants MUST be registered to take part.
2. Registration will open at 9.30am. We are anticipating a large number of participants so please ensure you come in plenty of time to register.
3. Anyone who has already donated to the idonate page will not be asked for a registration fee. Please let us know if you have already donated when registering.
4. Everyone registered on the day will be entered into the raffle.
5. Parking will be available in the field across from Mulhern Park. Stewards will be on site to direct you. Please be mindful of other road users and participants on your approach.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS TAKE PART AT THEIR OWN RISK.

Plans are coming together for a great day next Monday. We are so excited to report that the donations on the idonate page today exceeded the €10,000 mark. 😮
