We recently went on an international trip to Italy, visiting both Rome and Florence.

This was the 6th international trip we’ve taken and the largest group yet, with 17 teenagers!

Just a HUGE HEARTFELT THANK YOU to everyone who came along for the graduation and to celebrate our 10 year landmark birthday.

What a night, the talent, creativity, connection, kindness, gratitude and love that flowed in abundance.

We are a rich, vibrant community-that’s a certainty and as we step into the next decade sprouting with confidence, let’s see what else is possible. Thank you everyone!!

We had an activity around procrastination this week, which is a topic we discuss regularly.

We talked about how procrastination is often connected to emotional discomfort. Sometimes that discomfort comes from fear of our own self-talk when trying something new or challenging. Other times it comes from fear of how others might react to or judge us. And often, all of this happens under the surface, without us being aware, which can lead to people being labeled as ‘lazy’ or becoming discouraged.

Procrastination can also come from a lack of clarity around the next steps. Maybe the step feels too big and needs to be broken into smaller pieces. Or maybe what we think is the next step actually isn’t the next step, and there’s something else we need to do first.

Procrastination is something everyone experiences at some point, so learning how to navigate it is a skill students can build on for the rest of their lives.

This week we’ve taken the advantage of the sunny weather, from playing Tag Rugby, to water games and a day trip to the beach.

Our classroom for the day. We love taking advantage of the beautiful weather and getting outdoors.

Today we’re at Magheramore Beach and enjoying the sunshine while we swim, play tag rugby, Frisbee and football, while others explore the Shoreline and cliffs for wildlife.
