We’re a small, independent, registered Irish charity in Co. We receive no government funding and never put time limits on healing. We take in dogs and horses that others have run out of time for: from pounds and from situations nobody planned.

Every animal receives proper vet care and all the time they need. Others take years. A small number stay with us for life.

⚠️ Without You, None of This Happens ⚠️

💶 We don't receive any government funding. 💶

Every rescued animal is funded entirely by donations. There is no single right way to help. Monthly giving, one-off donations, volunteering or simply sharing our posts: every contribution keeps the work going.

Jade, now Crumble, came to us about a year ago, she came in with two other dogs, her circumstances would not have been ‘good’. The other two dogs, a greyhound and a Lurcher were friendly enough and didn’t take too long to settle into rescue life and then into home life. But Jade just found things harder, she adored old man Jake the German shepherd who takes a lot of newbies under his wing.
She loved the runs in the fields here and loved all the other dogs but she was still scared of humans, we knew if she didn’t move on she never would and she was still young so the potential was there.
We looked for a home for her and a wonderful family stepped up, we explained the situation and they were determined to do the best for her. And that they did, they gave her all the time she needed, the most important thing for a nervous unsocialised dog is time and another friendly confident dog in the house. We got these photos back today and couldn’t be happier for our little girl. Thanks to all those wonderful adopters who actually listen and do the right thing, so many people think they know best and try to rush things, there is a very fine line between doing the right thing and doing the wrong thing. The most precious thing they need is time. Thanks to all who understand that and bring nervous dogs into the real world. And proves once more that with the right people, anything is possible 🙏

We have some wonderful supporters and adopters, we know that and are very grateful for that, without people willing to give our dogs a second chance, we could not continue, we know how easy it is to ‘buy’ a family member but the true animal lovers would never reduce a sentient being to a commodity or an end product, because that’s what they are, bred for money, not for health, not for socialising, and certainly not for good. That’s why it’s so rewarding when someone like renowned author Cathy Kelly chose to adopt, not one, but two doggies from us last week. Their weeks trial is up and they have found their forever home. Ruby and Honey are not any exotic breed, they are two terriers, but not just that, they are the luckiest doggos to have found the perfect home. Thanks to everyone who takes a leap of faith and gives an abandoned dog the chance to live the best life. Adopters rock🙏💜🙏💜
