Our Scouts did some gardening this evening, planting lettuce, tomatoe plants, scallions, courgettes, cabbage and herbs in the greenhouse. After their hard work, they happily joined the Cubs for a water fight!

Last night our Cubs learnt more about camping, how to pitch a tent and more importantly, how to clean, fold and store camping gear, in order to keep it safe and in proper condition for next trips. There were games and concentration exercises, laughs and team battles. A big thank you to our special guest and Group Leader Vic who shared his experience from previous camps.

7th Kildare Rathangan Scouts had a fantastic two-night camp at Larch Hill this weekend. They set up camp on Friday and enjoyed the outdoors doing pioneering, walking, obstacle course activity and of course had smores on a campfire!

While our Scouts were in activity planning mode for the next 6 weeks, our Cubs enjoyed a walk along the canal this week. They learnt about wildflowers growing on its bank and got tested on their identification skills aftwerwards! Top class students! They all passed the test!
